I am a bridesmaid in my best friends wedding and I always have to order my dresses too big so the dress will fit my hips. I am small chested so I always have to do alterations to make the top fit my bust. I was referred to a few different businesses in Chico that do alterations and I tried them. Not one of the businesses would agree to do the alterations because they were so major and the fabric is so delicate. I was crushed. One store owner told me to buy a completely different dress because it would be impossible to alter the one I had. So, I went to my local hometown store, J & S Bridal, and Evelyn had no problem. She didn't charge me extra. She even had it finished within two weeks. It just goes to show that she is very experienced and knowledgeable. I won't even attempt to take my clothes for alterations anywhere else from now on.

I currently live in North Carolina and was married in Corning, CA. It was very challenging to plan a wedding from so far away, but we made it work. Evelyn from J & S Bridal was a big contrubitor to making sure everything was perfect. I was able to find and try on the most perfect dress in her store, place my order, have alterations and get some very valuable advice on wedding ediquitte. The alterations were perfect and done in a very timely fashion. I was even able to leave the dress in her store until the Thursday before my wedding so it would stay clean and pressed. I really had a very positive experience and would recommend anyone to shop there.

The owner at J&S Bridal is very personable and helpful. I bought my wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses there - she did all the alterations - and I was extremely pleased. I would recommend anyone to stop by her shop.

I am a bride to be and have been planning my wedding for quiet some time now I picked out a particular dress and The owner had told me alterations are included so after she ordered the dress in 2 sizes to big on purpose saying all brides gain weight before the wedding imagine that when I needed it altered 2 sizes down.....then she goes on to charge me 250.00 for something she told me I didnt have to pay the first time this dress cost about 1200 so when I tryed to comprimise or ask why it was so high she replyed with I have to pay my pg and e...why is that my problem..? I just would like to let anyone know if you are thinking of going here I am a realy nice person and do not ever get mad even though I was kind of warned about this store I tryed to see the good in people and she just trys to get as much money out of you as possible.
